Telegraph: Tirana- The European capital you never thought to visit (but really should)

Tirana can be perfect for a weekend break as Telegraph reveals. The well-known British newspaper recommends some of the highlights of Albania’s capital city. It describes Tirana; a compact center belies a metropolis of 750,000 people. It’s a big city as around one in four Albanians lives there.


Tirana is becoming a competitive city destination in the region:  “There is a growing cafĂ© culture, a clutch of international-standard hotels and a cuisine that shatters preconceptions.”
Statics show that in recent years the number of tourist keeps growing, and Tirana is one of the most visited cities in Albania.


Telegraph suggests visiting Tirana during spring time, especially on 14 March known as Summer Day on and why not spent 2 days in the capital city.  “March 14 is Spring Day in Albania and a party atmosphere takes over Tirana, with concerts in parks, street performers and open markets.”
