Eugent Bushpepa rocks the stage at first rehearsal in Eurovision

Eugent Bushpepa rocks the stage at first rehearsal on Euro Vision Song Contest. This was the tittle of Eurovision article, which was followed by similar articles in other European media such as Metro.co.uk etc.

Albania will be song number three in the first Eurovision Song Contest on Tuesday 8 May. The show will be broadcast live in Albanian Public Radio Television RTSH.  The comments after the first rehearsal of Bushpepa were very positive, considering it probably the best male voice of the year.

The article of Eurovision TV says: "For the first time in twelve years, Albania is sending a male solo artist to the contest. Eugent Bushpepa was born in 1984 and started singing when he was only six years old. In December 2017, the Albanian national selection Festivali i Këngës took place and Eugent Bushpepa was chosen by a professional jury to represent his country at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. He is performing the song Mall, which he wrote and composed himself".

During the powerful performance of his song Mall, Eugent was wearing a black blazer, cuts in the back and sleeve revealing part of his arm, matching black trousers and a white shirt falling longer in the back.
The act starts in black and blue colours, changing to warmer tones of red, yellow and white as the song reaches its climax. Eugent is accompanied by two female backing vocalists and a small band of musicians, including a drummer, bass player, and a 'double' (acoustic and electric) guitar player.

Eurovision.tv caught up with Eugent after his first rehearsal:
"Finally we're here -and very happy to be here. It felt very very good, the rehearsals went very well: I was comfortable on the stage and already looking forward to sing well and show a nice staging. I think that the Eurovision Song Contest is a big door, a giant door, that we can pass our art through and maybe people might grab it and feel the emotions that we are trying to transmit...", he said for Eurovision TV.

While Metro.co.uk under the tittle "Eurovision 2018 Rehearsals: Albania smashes the vocals with strong stage performance" is commenting this performance: " Eugent is going all out to ensure that Albania do not miss out on a place in the Eurovision Song Contest final for a third year in a row. Albania’s best Eurovision result so far was in 2012 when Rona Nishliu took Suus to fifth place"

Albania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 14 times since its debut in 2004. In 2004, Albania's first entry at Eurovision, Anjeza Shahini, finished seventh in the final. This remained the country's best result in the contest until 2012, when Rona Nishliu placed fifth.

We really hope this time Albania be among finalist in the Eurovision Song Contest. Good luck Eugent Bushpepa from VisitTirana!  We are sure you will make it!
