A high number of tourists visited Tirana in December

 Tourism in Albania is becoming the most dynamic sector of the economy, especially the last two years. According to the statistics from INSTAT (The National Institute of Statistics in Albania), the number of tourists is highly considerable during the last months of 2017. For November 2017 the number of foreign visitors in Albania was 22% higher than in the same month of the previous year.

It is known that the summer months are the best for tourism in Albania, but now tourists are coming even during other seasons. Only during the last week of December in Albania entered 11 346 tourists from different countries. The INSTAT says that for vacations purposes in Albania entered 2.3 million visitors in 11 first months of 2017. 

Last year the number of tourists visited Albania in 11 months (January-November 2017) was 7.8 % higher than the previous year.
The raising number of visitors is a result of good promotion that Albanian state tourism agency and other tour operators has done during the last years.

Tirana is also one of the most visited destination throughout all the year. The weather is perfect to visit the Capital in every season. Tirana is preferred not only for its museums, cultural heritage, the nature and adventure tours, but also for its culinary and night life. The city is always full of life..
