Eight Christmas market in chalets in Brussels will be dedicated to Tirana

Albania is the guest of honor "Winter Pleasures" Christmas fair in Brussels .
White, red or sparkling wine, beer, olive oil, typical dishes, crafts, but also traditional dance shows: this is what the city of Tirana will offer you during Winter Pleasures event which will be held at the end of the month in the city center. The Albanian capital will be the guest of honor at this 17th edition. In total, eight of the approximately two hundred and fifty chalets on the course will be dedicated to Albanian specialties. Those will be installed on the place Sainte-Catherine, in front of the church.
This is an opportunity for local producers to discover their goods in the heart of Europe. Muharrem Çobo took over the family wine business more than twenty years ago. "For the moment, I sell mainly my wines in Albania and Switzerland, I participate in many events all over the world to make discover our know-how, and I hope that it will appeal to the people of Brussels. mulled wine , " smiles the manager of the Çobo winery.

For his part, Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj hopes that this participation will allow "Winter Pleasures" visitors to discover Albania in a new light. "There are a lot of rumors circulating about our country, but we want to show tourists what Tirana really has to offer, urban myths must disappear," says the politician during our visit.
"A few years ago, an invitation to participate in an event like this seemed unthinkable, and it's a chance to show the city and its tourist attractions to visitors, who may want to visit us more, " continues Erion Veliaj.

For the City of Brussels, this collaboration also aims to make our capital shine internationally (see opposite). The presence of other cities or countries on the event will promote Winter Pleasures abroad.

The full program of the event was unveiled in the presence of Bourgmestre Philippe Close (PS) and the alderman of culture Karine Lalieux (PS).
